The Mid America Championship Hillclimb, held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Caspian Ski Hill, brought more than 30 hillclimbers to test their snowmobiling skills. Spectators watched as the racers switched back and forth toward the top. The snow conditions created a challenging course. Racers often spilled down the hill before passing through the top gate, providing an exciting event. The competition was part of the MASTERS (Mid America Snow and Terrain Expert Racers) racing circuit. First in each class qualified for the World Championship Hillclimb in Jackson, Wyo.
