Bigari Ace open during renovation

Bigari’s Ace Hardware has started renovations, to be completed by mid-May, according to owner Tim Novak.
The six-week project (weather permitting) will include a new parking lot and additional updates to the front of the building and main entrance area. They also will be bringing back the greenhouse. The store’s greenhouse collapsed five years ago.
The hardware store has been in operation in Iron River since the mid 1970s. Novak became a partner in 2001, and he took over the business at the start of 2020. At just under 43,000 square feet (one acre under roof), Bigari’s is the largest Ace Hardware in the U.P. (Submitted photo)
