IRON COUNTY—The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood donation opportunity on Jan. 28 from Noon to 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Iron River and on Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Forest Park High School in Crystal Falls.

IRON RIVER—Hometown Memories Publishing Co. of North Cariolina intends to save a big slice of local history before it’s lost forever and is asking local citizens to submit stories about the past for possible publication in a book.

Iron County Medical Care Facility recently received a check for $8,255 from Efficiency United in recognition of the facility’s energy efficient upgrade as part of its renovation and new construction.
