Red Cross blood drive set for May 5

IRON RIVER—An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 5:30 p.m on Monday, May 5, at the West Iron County High School gym.

Snowpants and knit hats replaced Easter dresses and bonnets during the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Crystal Falls Business Association on April 19. At the Forest Park school grounds, over 2,000 plastic eggs stood out against the backdrop of snow that hit the area late last week.

Northwood Animal Shelter holding fundraiser

IRON RIVER—Northwoods Animal Shelter is holding its annual Little Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraiser. The goal of the shelter is to sell 200 kits for animal care. With each kit sold the shelter earns $5.

West Iron District Library to host Easter egg hunt

IRON RIVER—The West Iron District Library will host an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18. Children of all ages are welcome to participate and are asked to bring a basket or a bag. Everyone will leave with treat-filled Easter eggs. For more information, call 265-2831.
