The U.P. Strongman Competition takes place this Saturday, Aug. 3, starting at noon, and for the first time the event will be held at the Nylund Food Center on Superior Avenue here.

Italians top tough Swedes on 12th inning home run

The Italians had to battle 12 exciting innings in order to claim their second straight Wop-Swede victory by a 13-11 score during Bass Festival at Runkle Lake Park on July 6.
