My concerns
To the editor:
 I am a resident of the city and would like to express my concerns regarding the proposed building location of a retail development in the city of Crystal Falls.
 After reviewing the Retail Site Development preliminary plan that was dated June 2, 2012, I feel some issues need to be addressed if this development is going to proceed.

It’s ‘Fair’ time in Iron County

Round up the kids, pack up the car and head on over to the Iron County Fairgrounds – the 121st annual Iron County Fair is gearing up for another rip-roaring good time for Iron County residents and visitors of all ages.
 After 121 years, you know the Fair Board is doing something right, and part of its success is providing some good old-fashioned fun for the whole family.
 Like any major event we’ve had in the county, there are a lot of unsung heroes and volunteers who spend many sleepless nights making sure that Fair time in Iron County is one of the best planned events on the county’s roster of places to be this summer.

Why do we have to pay?

We know life isn’t fair, and gas/fuel prices are among the most seemingly unfair aspects of life—but why are we “paying the price” during this recent spike?
 According to gasbuddy.com, refinery blips and a pipeline rupture set the prices soaring, prompting Gov. Rick Snyder to place the Upper Peninsula under a fuel emergency, allowing fuel delivery trucks wider operating hours.
