IRON RIVER —A track and field meet for students in fourth to sixth grades will be held starting at noon on Saturday, May 10, at the Nelson Field track.
There is no cost for the event, which will feature several schools, including West Iron and Forest Park.
Students will need to get a ride to and from the meet from a parent or guardian. Athletes can compete in up to three events. All participants will receive a ribbon.

The events taking place will be 70 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 800 meter run, 55 meter hurdles (6th grade only), 200 meter hurdles (6th grade only), 400 meter relay, 800 meter relay, 1600 meter run; 1600 meter relay; 3200 meter run, 3200 meter relay, long jump, shot put and 400 meter co-ed relay.
The co-ed relay is for anyone interested, even if they have participated in three events.
