From the Reporter files 1960s and 1970s or earlier: Dave Mangone poses proudly with the six point buck he got Saturday morning near Elmwood. On his third day out he came across a set of fresh prints and then tracked the big buck to a windfall. It took a running shot from his 300 Savage to bring the deer down. He was hunting with Gene Callovi and Bob Kostka. Deer hunting in Iron County means camps and companionship. Jim Duda, Dave Mangone and Gene Callovi take a minute out from their hunting to pose for a picture. More old-time photos in this week's Reporter.
