CASPIAN—The annual Christmas Tree Galleria will be held Nov. 9-17 at the Iron County Museum.
As has been the custom for the past 12 years, the Saturday opening event will include the honoring of eight volunteers nominated from various areas of Iron County. The Galleria Committee is requesting information for nominations,
Nominations should include as much of the following information as possible:
--Names of organizations in which the person has volunteered, including offices held in each organization; number of years the person has served in each organization; description of types of activities/projects/causes in which the person has served as a volunteer.
--A list and description of special talents such as speaking, music, writing, working with youth, working with the elderly.
--A list of past honors that have been received.
--Any additional information of importance that would illustrate the person’s volunteerism.
Honorees are selected representing the various geographic areas of Iron County. One person is selected for each area: Alpha/Mastodon Township; Amasa/Hematite Township; Bates Township; Beechwood/Iron River Township; Caspian, Gaastra, Stambaugh Township; Crystal Falls/Crystal Falls Township; Mansfield Township; and Iron River.
If there is more than one nominee from any of the selected areas, the nominations will be filed to be considered in future years.
Information can be dropped off at the museum or mailed to the Nomination Committee, Iron County Museum, Box 272, Caspian, MI  49915. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 23.
