CF hosting Hometown Christmas on Saturday PDF Print E-mail

Dan Graff of Crystal Falls’ city electrical department hangs Christmas decorations above the city’s main street as holiday preparations continue.
CRYSTAL FALLS—A Hometown Christmas here Dec. 15 offers a fun-filled Saturday including parties, raffles and sales.
The event starts with Christmas Cookie Decorating for Kids from 9 a.m. to noon at Jubilee Foods on U.S. 2.


Between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. a group of nine Crystal Falls merchants will participate in the Crystal Falls Progressive Raffle. Stop in at Sunshine Floral, TDS Pharmacy, Wink’s Woods, Adrienne’s Hair Studio and Spa, Crystal Home Interiors, Generations Restaurant, Ben Franklin, Crystal Falls Trading Company and Sentinel Technologies to collect all nine recipes and be entered in a raffle with prizes that include a spa visit, bed and breakfast gift certificate and $500 in local business gift certificates.
From 10 a.m. until noon, Crystella Ski Hill will have a preseason ski pass sale featuring visits with Santa Claus. Visitors are encouraged to bring their camera.
From 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., three Crystal Falls businesses will host a gift wrapping fundraiser with the help of Forest Park Elementary School fourth graders. There is a $2 charge for gift wrapping. The fundraiser is at Ben Franklin Store, Wink’s Woods and Sunshine Floral.
The Crystal Falls Community Library hosts Holiday Christmas Fun for Kids from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.  There is no charge to join in the library-sponsored event. The library is located at 237 Superior Ave.
The VFW Hall Clubrooms will also host a kids Christmas party from 2 to 4 p.m. at 108 Superior Ave.
At 7 p.m., the Brett Mitchell Trio will perform at the Crystal Theatre, 304 Superior Ave.
The Crystal Falls Health Mart will also host a cookie exchange with free hot chocolate.
Also on Dec. 15, the Porter School Market Place will host end-of-season sales.
