IRON RIVER—In an effort to assist families in our community, Grace Covenant Church is hosting a service mission called First Fruits.
The purpose of this mission event is actually twofold, said organizers:
--To distribute donated, perishable food items such as: fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, milk, bread, meat, etc. to those in need.
--To allow those who want to make donations an opportunity to help a neighbor.
“If you find yourself, your family or your neighbor in need of these types of items, please stop by the Grace Covenant Church parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 27, between 10 a.m. and noon,” said a spokesperson.
“For those interested in donating items toward this event, please contact Grace Covenant Church at 265-9951.”
Donations can be dropped off Thursday and Friday, Oct. 25-26.
