POOFLA to meet at Fortune Lake PDF Print E-mail

CRYSTALL FALLS—The Property Owners of Fortune Lakes Association (POOFLA) will hold their annual meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. in the dining hall at the Fortune Lake Lutheran Bible Camp.
 On the agenda will be the election of the president and secretary; update of the public access on Route-2; information about invasive species on Fortune Lake and surrounding lakes; and recent information regarding the lake level and aquifer tapping of Indian Lake.


 Bewabic State Park will also inform association members of the latest goose round-up and the clean boats seminar attended by employees.
 Diane Kut will report on the surrounding lakes committee meeting she attended and the AIS survey of Fortune Lakes by Ottawa National Forest.
 Walter Tuchowski will inform riparian owners of his effort with Senator Casperson to dredge the passage under the bridge from First and Second lakes.
 All lake association members and interested guests are welcome to attend the meeting.
