On Friday, May 18, 35 students from Forest Park and Florence, Wis., schools took part in the Brule River Float, a four-mile kayak float down the Brule River. After the float, the Wisconsin DNR did a presentation on fish and netting. The float trip was made possible from a grant by WE Energies. Five Wisconsin game wardens and three Michigan conservation officers volunteered their time to spend the morning on the water with the kids and cooking the food. (DNR photo)
