Florence antique appraisal show welcomes viewers PDF Print E-mail

FLORENCE, Wis.—Do you like to watch the Antiques Roadshow on TV?
 If you do, perhaps you would like to attend a local Antique Appraisal show.

 The Florence County Historical Society is hosting “What’s It Worth” on Sunday, April 29, from 1 to 4 p.m.  at the Encore on Central Ballroom, 748 Central Ave. here. 
 Mark Moran, an active appraiser for over 20 years and a co-author of more than 25 books, will be appraising over 50 items that have been registered.
 There is a wide variety of items including: paintings, dishes, lamps, a puppet, dolls, a gypsy vest and much more.
 For just a $1 admission, spectators are welcome to come and watch the show. Complimentary wine and cheese will be available for all who attend the show.
 The Wirtz Beverage Co. of Hartland, Wis., will be provide a sampling of its Salmon Creek wine, sold exclusively in Florence at  Maxsells and the Encore.
 Along with Wirtz’s wines, the Encore Ballroom staff will be serving complimentary samples of Wisconsin cheese regularly served at the two establishments.
 All proceeds from the afternoon will be used to support the Florence County Historical museum and the preservation of Florence County history.
 “Come and enjoy an afternoon of fun and view interesting items from around the area,” said organizers.
  Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.
