The Stambaugh Elementary gym was a hub of activity on April 23 as West Iron County students, teachers and families gathered for the Science Fair. 

Grades early-K through fifth displayed their projects while offering explanations to visitors and judges.

IRON RIVER – Stambaugh Elementary brought back the Science Fair, April 23. Project categories were experiment, collection, model or demonstration.

Judges scored based on the student’s display, student’s presentation, student’s knowledge of the subject, alignment of the project to the category and creativity.

First through third place awards were given for each class, they are as follows: 
• Early Kindergarten - Kora Arneson took first place, Scarlette Sapallicio came in second place and Charlotte Davis came in third. 
• First Grade - Dani Miatech came in first place, Aiden Berg followed up with second place and Willow Bender took third. 
• Second Grade - Bobby Lorenzoni took first, Madison Marheine received second and Tessa Fales took third. 
• Third Grade – Coming in first place was Angel Orullian, Piper Seymore received second and third place was awarded to Dean Demske. 
• Fourth Grade - Izzy Tilly came in first place with Lucy Christensen in second and Weston Elenbaas took third. 
• Fifth Grade – First place was awarded to Kaydance Meintke, Emerson Osterlund followed in second and Emma Kyllonen placed third.
