Young’s Golf Course open
IRON RIVER— Young’s Golf Course announced that its 18-hole championship golf course is open.
With the most recent update to Michigan’s executive order, Young’s Golf Course is operational while strictly following the state mandated guidelines for golf courses.
“We are very pleased with the state’s decision to allow courses to open,” said Jason Rivard, general manager of Young’s Golf, Dining & Recreation. “Our main priority as we move forward is the safety of our guests, members and employees.”
In the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Young’s has many procedures in place to ensure safety and reduce the possibility of transmission. Garbage cans, ball washers, water stations and bunker rakes have been removed from the course, and flagsticks are not to be touched. Rental carts are available with a limit of one rider per cart.
The Young’s Complex remains closed and a walk-up window has been installed off the pro shop for safer interactions between golfers and employees.
Tee times are required in advance and can be scheduled by calling 265-3401 or at www.experienceyoungs.com.
A detailed list of COVID-19 procedures can also be found on the website. Keep an eye on Young’s Facebook page and website as new orders come through from the state.
In its statement, Young’s stated it appreciates the patience of the community and hopes to provide an opportunity for the public to get outside and create some sense of normalcy during these uncertain times.
