Young’s Aquatic Center now open

IRON RIVER—After months of construction, Young’s Golf-Recreation-Dining has reopened its Aquatics Center. The improvements are part of a long-term plan to update and improve Young’s facilities.
Young’s Aquatic Center offers a large lap pool for exercise with a shallow area for small children, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. Men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers and lockers for rent are also available.
“We are so excited to have our Aquatics Center open again,” Young’s General Manager Jason Rivard added. “We’ve missed our members and all those who use the pool while it’s been out of service. We’ve enjoyed welcoming everyone back to enjoy the improvements, and now that it’s open, we can continue to develop our aquatics program.”
One of Young’s future initiatives is to offer swim lessons and teach every third-grader in Iron County how to swim. Young’s is currently looking for lifeguards and swim instructors and will provide the training and cover the cost of training to certify instructors.
Young’s Aquatics also offers aqua aerobics classes for adults and is often used for birthday parties by the community. The pool can be accessed with a daily pass or membership, with different types of memberships available for individuals and families.
Young’s Aquatic Center is open to the public seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
