(Above) The West Iron County Dance Team has attended the Just For Kix summer camp for nearly two decades, but this year was different as the dancers participated in a virtual camp held remotely in Iron River. The team met outside and logged in to laptops for 8-9 hours of daily instruction for three days. Wykon dancers who won awards included, from left, Avery Bociek (Most Outstanding Dancer), Kali Applin (Firecracker Award) and Jordan Shamion (Heather Star Habeck Award). The Most Outstanding Dancer award is given to dancers displaying technique, skill and knowledge of the routines. The Living Firecracker Award is given to dancers who liven up the camp with their pep and energy. And the Heather Star Habeck Award is the highest award a dancer can receive at the camp and rewards the dancer who embodies the qualities needed for both the previously mentioned awards
