Trojans trample Vikings 56-14

CRYSTAL FALLS—Forest Park’s football team scored practically at will here Oct. 10 when it faced Baraga in a Great Western Conference game.
The Trojans took care of business quickly, rolling up seven touchdowns and 48 points in the first quarter alone against the undermanned Vikings, who will switch to eight-man football next year.
    Final score: 56-14.
“I like to think of it as a game condition where the guys have to be sharp,” Coach Dave Graff said the next day. “Even in a game against lesser competition, we want to be sharp and play to our potential, and I think we did that.”
The easy-peasy win clinches a playoff berth for the Trojans, who are now 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the GWC. Much tougher opponents are on the way, but the Trojans can still claim second place in the league’s final season.
