CRYSTAL FALLS— The Forest Park Trojans (4–1) wasted no time returning to their winning ways, besting Stephenson 54–8 on Sept. 21. After a thrashing at the hands of Norway the previous week, the Trojans were anxious to get back on the field and reestablish their hopes for a deep playoff run.
In an offensively powerful first quarter, the Trojans scored early and often, and continued the rout leading by over 40 points at halftime. Holding Stephenson to only 77 yards of offense was a team effort anchored by brothers Kevin Giuliani and Vic Giuliani, who had a combined eight tackles and two sacks.
Recognized by their coach, Brian Fabbri, as the second and third defensive ‘stars of the game’, the brothers are an impressive duo who both love the game of football.
“Kevin was voted as a captain by his teammates and works hard to be one of the leaders on the team,” Fabbri said. “Vic is playing well for a freshman on a varsity football team and is asking all the right questions during practice as he is learning multiple positions”
Although the victory was a team effort, the night belonged to senior Felix Quevedo who not only played both sides of the ball, but made the highlight reel on both offense and defense.
Offensively, Quevedo had 11 carries for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, he had both an interception and a fumble recovery.
Junior teammate Nik Stephens praised Quevedo stating, “He’s a team player and will do what it takes to win for our team.”
As the Trojans continue their march to the playoffs, it is clear they are a strong team.  How strong will only be revealed in the coming weeks as the Trojans play some of the most challenging games of the season.
