CRYSTAL FALLS—Good news for Forest Park’s volleyball team: The regular season grind is over. It’s tournament time.
The Lady Trojans wrapped up their season last week with a pair of 3-1 wins, at Kingsford on Oct. 28 and home vs. Bark River-Harris on Oct. 30.
The girls started the Class D District 127 tournament at Bessemer Nov. 3 when they faced Wakefield-Marenisco in a first-round match. There are five teams in the district, and the title match will be Thursday, Nov. 6.
Forest Park finished the regular season with a 25-4-3 record overall (including tournaments) and 10-1 in the Skyline Conference, tying for the title with North Dickinson.
With the tournament coming, Coach Kim Bjork said the team has been working on playing up-tempo consistently. “Fundamentals, making our offense more dynamic and trying to get better every single practice.”
