CRYSTAL FALLS — The Lady Trojans (8–14) won their last regular season game on Feb. 27 with an impressive 75–39 victory over the North Central Jets (3–17). With the victory, the Trojans finished out their regular season with the best record of the past four years, finishing with eight wins and 14 losses.

The Trojans started strong and played well for the duration. Scoring 21 first-quarter points against the Jets and building a 35–22 halftime lead, Forest Park easily controlled the game. A third quarter flurry of 29 points gave the Trojans an insurmountable lead.
Led by sophomore guard Elsie Williams who scored 29 points and freshman Vienna Price who contributed 14, the Trojans had eight girls who added to their tally.

Trojan Coach Kim Bjork is staying positive as the team improves.

“We are still young and we are making progress,” she said. “We’ve experienced better shooting percentages this year than last year,  we’ve had some 20-plus point games by individuals and we’ve had a higher percentage of girls scoring in our games. We are still developing, but the girls have been positive and working hard and not giving up. We are so close to getting to that next level.”
On March 6 the girls will open the postseason tournament with an away game against the Baraga Vikings. The Vikings posted an 18–4 record on the season.
