Kegley makes West Pac second team

IRON RIVER — West Iron County senior McKenna Kegley was selected to the all-West Pac Conference second team this year in a vote of league coaches.
Kegley was a setter and a right-side hitter for the Wykons, who finished with a 4-4 record in the abbreviated season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The league, and therefore the all-conference teams, was dominated by Calumet this season. Senior outside hitter Ellie Djerf was named the conference player of the year, senior Cami Johnson was picked as the defensive specialist of the year and Kate Bonacorsi was selected as coach of the year.
The first team consisted of senior setter Larissa Anderson (Negaunee), senior middle blocker Halle Beauchamp (Gwinn), sophomore middle blocker Helen Beiring (Calumet), junior middle blocker Natalie Bell (Negaunee), senior setter Kristi Keranen (Calumet), senior middle blocker Marina Kero (Hancock), junior outside hitter Anslee Runsat (Iron Mountain), senior outside hitter Tianna Taylor (Gwinn), senior outside hitter Maryellen Trewhella (Houghton) and sophomore middle blocker Stella Wickstrom (Houghton).
Joining Kegley on the second team were junior libero Hannah Deloughary (Ishpeming), junior setter Micaela Geborkoff (Houghton), senior libero Lexi Hagan (Iron Mountain), junior outside hitter Mary Beth Halonen (Calumet), junior outside hitter Jordanna Hardy (Gwinn), senior defensive specialist Sierra Hendrickson (Negaunee), junior outside hitter Kami Klein (Hancock), senior middle blocker Eliina Miilu (Gwinn) and junior middle blocker Lizzie Torola (Calumet).
