IM deals FP 7th graders first loss

CRYSTAL FALLS—Forest Park’s seventh grade boys team absorbed its first loss of the season Dec. 11, as Iron Mountain showed off its offense in a 47-25 win. The Trojans are now 3-1 for the year.
    IM took control from the start with a 19-4 first quarter and led 31-10 at halftime. Marcus Johnson scored 16 points for IM, and Giovanni Basanese added 13.
    Brice Alder was the Trojans’ top scorer with 11 points, and Tommy Peltoma scored four. Five different players scored two: Keall Emmers, Daniel Franz, Gabe Scarlassara, C.J. Post and Bryce Smithson.
    On Dec. 9, Forest Park won a tight defensive battle with Norway 19-18. The Trojans blanked Norway 6-0 in the first quarter, but the Knights bounced back and cut the lead to one, 8-7, at halftime. It was nip and tuck after that.t scored six, Alder had three, and Smithson and Franz both scored two.
