Hendrickson, Nylund picked

CRYSTAL FALLS—Forest Park senior guards Riley Hendrickson and Max Nylund were selected to the Skyline Central Conference all-league teams in a vote of conference coaches.
    Hendrickson, who averaged 13.8 points per game with a high of 30 in the Trojans’ regional semifinal win over Bessemer, was named to the first team, while Nylund (11.3 ppg. high of 21), was picked to the second team. Nylund was also named to the all-defensive team.
    Senior Anthony Mattson of Munising was named the player of the year in the league. Junior Tyler Sundling of Rapid River was selected defensive player of the year. Joe McNally of Mid Peninsula was given the individual sportsmanship award, while Trey Doda of Norway won the free throw award (best percentage). Big Bay de Noc and  Mid Peninsula were given team sportsmanship awards.
    Richard Poma of Rapid River, whose team tied Munising for the large school championship, was named coach of the year. Carney-Nadeau was the small school champion.
    The rest of the first team was: Sundling (Rapid River, a unanimous choice), Jesse Matson (Munising, senior) Brett
 LaFord (Carney-Nadeau, junior), Joey Starzynski (Stephenson, senior), Griffin Johnson (North Central, senior) and Matthew Bruette (North Dickinson, senior).
    The rest of the second team consisted of: Max Baulmer (Carney-Nadeau, junior), Kody Hendricks (Norway, junior), Zach Englund (Mid Peninsula, junior), Tony DeMars (Rapid River, junior), Noah Gorzinski (North Central, junior) and Hunter Debelak (Bark River-Harris, senior).
    Given honorable mention were: Riley Bray (Bark River-Harris, junior), Alex LaLonde (Big Bay de Noc, senior), Kellen Thill (Big Bay de Noc, senior), Beau Koffman (Carney-Nadeau, sophomore), McNally, Josh Huotari (Munising, senior), Brady Eichmeier (North Central, senior), Joe Roell (North Dickinson, senior), Braydon Moss (Rapid River, junior), Merlin Thoune (Stephenson, senior) and Beau Rondeau (Superior Central, senior).
    The remainder of the all-defensive team included: Carter Zawacki (Bark River-Harris), LaFord, Mike Flanagan (Carney-Nadeau), Englund, Huotari, Cole Timblin (North Central), Bruette, Bryce Kuehnau (Stephenson) and D.J. Johns (Superior Central).
