CRYSTAL FALLS—The sixth annual Forest Park golf scramble was held June 8 at the Crystal View Golf Course.
The money raised will go toward the weight room and various boys and girls sports programs at school.
The scramble was an 18-hole event with cash prizes and door prizes.
“Forest Park would like to thank the golfers and area businesses for once again supporting the annual golf scramble fundraiser,” said Kurt Anderson. “This event began as a means of funding the weight room renovation and has expanded into also being a fundraiser for various sports programs at Forest Park. The people and businesses in and around our community continue to generously support the students of our district and it is greatly appreciated. Businesses and individuals donated hole sponsorships, food, supplies, as well as door prizes. The event would not be a success without them”.
Participants enjoyed beautiful weather and a round of golf for a charitable purpose.
“The weather cooperated for the entire day and golfers were happy to get out and enjoy the day,” Anderson said. “This year Nick Baumgartner was kind enough to volunteer part of his day to help out. Nick brought his trademark enthusiasm while stationed at the par 3 No. 3 hole, collecting donations in exchange for his services in hitting mulligans for teams in need. Not every team came out ahead in the deal, but Nick did manage to find the green a couple times.”
