Flag football program will start on Sept. 4
CRYSTAL FALLS—Forest Park head football coach Dave Graff is inviting all fifth and sixth students, including those living outside the school district, to join a four-week flag football program that will be held at Forest Park during September.
The sessions will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. twice a week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays. (During Labor Day week, the sessions will be on Tuesday and Thursday.) The first session takes place at the Forest Park football field on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 5:30 p.m.
Coaches will include Forest Park varsity players, seventh and eighth grade staff and upperclassmen and approved parents.
There is no participation fee, and no physicals are required.
No helmets will be worn, and there will be no tackling. Tennis shoes will be adequate, but cleats can be worn.
Fundamentals will be taught at each session, with flag/touch games to follow. Fifth and sixth graders can attend as many sessions as they want.
