Bongi, Rintala, Clark lead Trojans
CRYSTAL FALLS—Dawson Bongi, Mason Rintala and Taylor Clark continued their impressive performances for the Forest Park track teams at the co-ed Norway Invite on May 6.
Bongi and Rintala brought home both of the Trojans first-place finishes at the 11-team invitational, while Clark recorded the Lady Trojans’ lone win in the girls event.
For the Trojans, Bongi won the 110 hurdles in 17.28, while Rintala topped the field in the 1,600 (5:06.22).
Rintala also contributed an individual third in the 800 (2:15.81), while Bongi teamed with Max Nylund, Tim
McKissack and Hunter Reed to place third in the 800 relay (1:42.89) and placed sixth in the long jump (16-6).
Other individual top-six performers were McKissack (fourth in the long jump, 17-1 and fifth in the 200, 24.97), Tim Bendick (fifth in the shot put, 32-10) and Brad Stacy (sixth in the 200, 25.72).
FP also took fourth in the 400 relay (Daniel Franz, Tommy Showers, Bendick, McKissack, 52.88) and in the 1,600 relay (Reed, Vincent Curtis, Stacy, Nylund, 4:09.98).
Norway won the team title with 123 points with Stephenson second at 97. The Trojans earned 50 points to take fifth.
