WU to sponsor youth hunt, Sept. 14-15
IRON RIVER—Wildlife Unlimited of Iron County will sponsor its annual youth hunt on Sept. 14-15. Iron County youth age 12 to 16 are eligible to participate if they do not have someone to take them hunting.
Participants will have to complete a consent/release form and will be required to attend one of two “sight-in” sessions at the Alpha Rifle and Pistol Club on Sept. 7-8.
Wildlife Unlimited will reimburse the participant for the cost of a youth hunting license and provide a firearm, if necessary. WU will also provide a lunch on Saturday and pay to have a successful hunter’s deer processed at Sommers Sausage Shop in Crystal Falls.
Participants will be required to hunt with a Wildlife Unlimited mentor on a Wildlife Unlimited-authorized food plot.
