Wolves program set at Audubon Society meeting

CASPIAN—Jim Hamill, retired DNR wildlife biologist, will speak at the Lee Le Blanc Chapter of the Audubon Society meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, at the Iron County Museum.
Hamill’s presentation is titled “Wolves, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”
As Western Upper Peninsula Wildlife supervisor, Hamill has been involved with wolves since they first started to reappear in Michigan.
He still serves on both the state and federal wolf recovery teams and is currently working to have wolves removed from the endangered species list. He will try to cover all aspects of the controversy.
The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
