NW Geology Club to meet Aug. 26

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Northwoods Geology Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the lower level of the Florence Natural Resource Center.    
Scott Steiner will give a demonstration on cutting, grinding and polishing rocks using his own equipment. 
Plans are to set up and hold the meeting outside of the lower level entrance. Attendees are asked to have a face mask available in case social distancing cannot be maintained.     
If there is inclement weather, the club may meet inside. Appropriate COVID-19 prevention measures will be taken.
Additionally, there will be no snacks or drinks provided, so attendees are asked to bring their own.
