CRYSTAL FALLS - The Iron Baraga Conservation District (IBCD) is hosting a fruit tree pruning workshop on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will meet at the Iron County Courthouse, 401 Superior Avenue.
IBCD welcomes Scott Reuss, Marinette and Oconto Country Horticulture and Agriculture Agent in hosting this workshop.
Do you have old fruit trees on your land? Did you recently buy fruit trees from the IBCD tree sale? Sign up for our fruit tree pruning workshop and learn how to properly care for them. Attendees will learn proper techniques and become familiar with pruning tools.
Proper pruning encourages health and productivity on both young and older trees. Please bring your pruning tools and gloves if possible.
To sign up call Carly Graff, Iron-Baraga District Forester at 906-236-5108. Participants are asked to pre-register. We are asking for a $15 donation for this workshop. Lunch is provided. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
