DU to host 40th annual banquet

IRON RIVER— The Iron County Ducks Unlimited (DU) will host its 40th annual banquet at the Young’s on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Ducks Unlimited got its start in 1937 when a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became pledged to wetland habitat conservation.
DU states that wetlands are nature’s most productive ecosystems, providing critical habitat more than 900 wildlife species and invaluable recreations opportunities for people to enjoy.
Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 14 million acres across the continent.
“Hunters do more to conserve habitat than any other group,” said Dan French, banquet chairperson.
“Doing the right thing has its rewards: ducks flying and habitat for all. All of this is brought to you by outdoor enthusiasts like you and Ducks Unlimited. Please, come and enjoy our banquet.”
Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday, Oct. 22, and are available from committee members, Saigh Insurance, X-Treme Outdoors in Iron River and Superior Sport and Feed in Crystal Falls.
