Conservation District pruning workshop set

CRYSTAL FALLS— Iron Baraga Conservation District will host an apple tree and other fruit tree pruning workshop on Friday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Iron County Courthouse in Crystal Falls. For more information, call 875-3765.
    Also, Iron Baraga Conservation District has low-cost landowner planting shares available for planting within Michigan DNR deer wintering complexes or adjacent to public lands. This program is for landowners with 20 acres or more.
    In addition, the conservation district has also received grant funding for multi-story dear plantings which will consist of wildlife, conifer, deciduous and apple tree seedling for planting on tribal lands, county government lands, local city or township government lands, college or school property.
