Big walleye

Nick Haen from Kaukauna, Wis., spent more than nine hours on the ice with several friends before he pulled in the only fish of the day through the ice on an Iron County lake.  The 30-3/4 inch, 10-pound, 7-ounce walleye was caught on a minnow bought that morning from the Outpost on U.S. 2 on in Iron River on Saturday morning of the Michigan free fishing weekend. It was the 10th year of the groups’ annual ski/fish weekend where they stayed at one of his friend’s parent’s cottage.   Haen plans to have the “biggest walleye to ever come out of that lake” mounted.
