‘Float the Paint’ back for third year
IRON COUNTY—The third annual Float The Paint will be held on Saturday, July 27, on the Paint River.
Outdoor enthusiasts are invited to participate in the free event sponsored by the Iron County Watershed Coalition, and are asked to bring their canoe, kayak or other personal floatation device to the Bates Amasa Bridge at 11 a.m.
Car shuttling will be arranged. Register at arrival with the option to purchase refreshments for the end of the float, prepared by the Paint River Landing.
The Iron County Watershed Coalition works to ensure the highest possible water quality in Iron County lakes, streams and wetlands by educating and engaging the community in projects that will restore and preserve our watersheds for future generations.
