WIC Business Club fundraiser slated for Feb. 11

IRON RIVER—The West Iron County Business Club will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4:30-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11 at Grace Covenant Church.
The dinner, with silent auction and raffles, will raise funds to help qualifying students travel and compete in the Business Professionals of America state competition March 14-17 in Grand Rapids. Students will stay at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and travel to the event with several U.P. schools including Forest Park.
“The trip to the state competitions is expensive,” said club advisor Lee Rometti. “The students have been busy fundraising since the fall. If you can, please help support our students. Nationals are in Anaheim, California this year and we have students who have worked hard and have a good chance of qualifying for the national competitions.”
Many local businesses have donated gifts that will either be raffled off or be used to make dinner. Alice’s will provide breadsticks and onion bread and local photographer Kevin Zini has donated many wildlife prints to be used in a silent auction.
The dinner is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Take outs will be available.
