West End Players to perform ‘Into the Woods’
IRON RIVER—The West End Players have announced that their spring musical will be a performance of the James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods.”
Performances will be held May 1 and 3 at the Crystal Theater in Crystal Falls and May 15, 16 and 17 at the Windsor Center in Iron River.
The West End Players will hold auditions at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, and Monday, Jan. 20, at the Windsor Center.
This musical is open to students, age 14 and up, and adults. There are 18 major roles needed for this production.
Those interested in auditioning are asked to be ready with a song to sing.

Practices will be held at the Windsor Center on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings with some weekend practices as opening weekend approaches.
“Into the Woods” brings the Brothers Grimm epic fairytales to the stage. This production includes many characters as well as the Baker and his wife, Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, Cinderella, Rapunzel, the princes, Jack, and of course, the Witch who needs a cursed reversed.
