Registrations for kindergarten, GSRP, currently being held
IRON RIVER—Registration for students entering kindergarten and the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP- 4-year-olds) for the 2019-2020 school year is currently being held.
Parents are welcome to stop by the Stambaugh Elementary School office between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to pick up a registration packet.
Children must be 5 years of age by Sept. 1, 2019 to enroll in kindergarten for next fall (all day, every day). All students are required by state law to present a certified birth certificate and a current immunization record prior to the start of the 2019-20 school year.
Children must be 4 years of age by Sept. 1, 2019 to enroll in GSRP (half-day program; parents may choose morning or afternoon sessions).
Children must be 3 years of age and potty trained by Sept. 1, 2019 to enroll in Tot-Lot (Friday mornings).
Parents are required to bring copies of their child’s birth certificate and current immunization records. Hearing and vision screenings are also required for kindergarten entry.
Parents will be able to schedule appointments by calling the Dickinson-Iron Health Department at 265-9913.
Parents who do not have a current immunization record for their child can make an appointment for that as well.
