Meeting to start women’s center slated

IRON RIVER—A community event to start a women’s center in Iron County will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 22, at the West Iron District Library.
The event will be the first of many gatherings to structure and organize a center. Organizers are seeking all women - professionals, teachers, artists, mothers and daughters.
Experience in nonprofit organization, grant writing, social work, and mental health or any skills or talents that would uplift women in our community are needed.
Those with the enthusiasm and desire to help women inspire other women are encouraged to attend.
“We believe that recognizing our skills, talents, hard work and accomplishments can be empowering to women everywhere,” said Holly Harvey. “Please join us.”
