Literary masquerade ball set for Feb. 3

IRON RIVER—Once Upon a Time Bookstore will hold its first literary masquerade ball from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the George Young Clubhouse.
The public is invited to an evening of literary fun—costumes, refreshments, music, photo booth, silent auction and more. This is an event for all ages, so families are welcome to attend as well.
While it is not required to dress up as a favorite book character, it is encouraged, and best costume will be awarded.
The event was created to raise funds for a scholarship, which will be awarded to one graduating senior in Iron County per year who wishes to pursue a degree in English, writing, communications or journalism.
The first scholarship will be awarded in 2019.
Tickets are available at Once Upon a Time Bookstore, located at 419 Washington Ave. in Iron River. The store is open Monday-Saturday from 12:30-5 p.m. Cost is $10 for single tickets and $25 for a family ticket (limit is two adults per family). For more information, stop in or call 906-284-7814.
