IC Youth Camp schedule announced
CRYSTAL FALLS—The Iron County Youth Camp has announced its the 2018 camping season. This season includes Senior Citizen Days, band camp and the 74th year of youth camp.
Senior Citizen Days at the Youth Camp are scheduled for June 13-15 and will provide an opportunity for seniors to enjoy the out-of-doors. Boat rides, river rafting, bocce ball, horseshoes, arts and crafts, music, games and enjoying friends are a few of the popular activities. Register for Senior Citizen Days at any Iron County Senior Center beginning June 4 or call the camp at 265-4476 after June 11.
The 2018 Iron County Band Camp is scheduled for the week of June 17-23. During the week, 14 instrumental instructors and musicians from all over the United States will be coming to Iron County to teach and work with high school and junior high school band students. These 14 instrumental specialists will perform for the public at a faculty concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21. Refreshments will follow in the mess hall. The public is invited.
The 64th annual band camp student’s concert will be hosted by the Forest Park Public School District. This concert will be held on June 23 in the Eddie Chambers Gymnasium at Forest Park. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and the public is invited.

Iron County Youth Camp begins June 24 and continues on a weekly schedule for five consecutive weeks. During these weeks, campers ages 9-16 can enjoy the many outdoor activities that have been popular for 74 years at Camp Batawagama.
Registration forms are now available at the West Iron County school office and the Forest Park school office.
