County-wide trick-or-treating will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31. Trick-or-treating in the city of Iron River will be held from 5-8 p.m.

The Iron County Medical Care Facility will host a Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1-4 p.m. There will be food, drinks, games, costume contest and trick-or-treating. This is a free community event.
Mansfield Township will host its annual Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Mansfield Township Hall. Festivities will start at 6:30 p.m. Mansfield Township residents, families and friends are invited to attend for a night of spooky fun. A costume parade will be held for children and adults. And don’t forget to bring your best decorated pumpkin for the jack-o-lantern contest. Kids’ games will be followed by the breaking of the pinata. The Wicked Witch of the West is sure to make an appearance to deliver treat bags to the youngsters. The West Iron District Library will host its Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 26 starting at 11 a.m. There will be prizes, snacks and games. Wear your costume.
The West Iron District Library will host “Book Character” pumpkin decorating contest. Bring the decorated pumpkin into the library between Saturday, Oct. 19 and Friday, Oct. 25. The public will vote for their favorite during the Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 26. Decorated pumpkins may be entered as a family, group or individual. One entry per person/group. No carving is requested.
The Crystal Theatre will show “Anatomy of a Murder” on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. The film was shot in several locations in the Upper Peninsula. Some scenes were filmed in the Thunder Bay Inn in Big Bay, one block from the Lumberjack Tavern, the site of the 1952 murder that inspired much of the novel. It had its first screening at the Butler Theater in Ishpeming and the Nordic Theater in Marquette on June 29, 1959. The world premiere for the film was held on July 1, 1959, at the United Artists Theater in Detroit.
Fall Fun Fest will be held on Oct. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Iron River Bible Church. All children ages 3-12 are invited to dress as cowboys and cowgirls for this free event offering fun games, contests, food and lots of candy. Prizes and fall-themed decorations will also be featured at the fest. For more information, call 265-3977.
The Amasa Halloween Party will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 at the museum at 5 p.m. There will be a costume contest for age groups 7 and under, 8-10, 11-12, 13-plus and adults. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category. Hot dogs, snacks and soda will be served.
Angeli Foods will host an in-store trick-or-treating on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m. There will be different trick-or-treating stations set up throughout the store. A free caramel apple will be given out to the first 100 children in costume.
The Iron River St. Vincent de Paul trick-or-treat will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. Bring your goblins to the store, come in costume and receive 35 percent off your entire purchase.
The Iron River Township Halloween Party will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31 at the Beechwood Hall. Everyone is welcome. Costume judging will be held at 7 p.m. There will be games, crafts, tricks and treats, food and more. The event will be hosted by the Beechwood Friendly Neighbors and the Beechwood Historical Society.
The Crystal Falls Lions Club will host its Trunk-or-Treat party on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m. in the parking lot of the United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls.
Grace Covenant Church’s Trunk-or-Treat will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. Hot food will be served inside the church.
