Friends of WIDL to host book, bake sale
IRON RIVER—In conjunction with the 2019 Rodeo festivities, the Friends of the West Iron District Library will host its annual used book sale and bake sale. Both events will take place on Friday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The used book sale will take place outside in front of the library with the bake sale being held inside the library.
Book donations for the fundraiser are being sought from the public. The following types of books will be accepted: fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, cookbooks, westerns, hardcover, paperback, craft, gardening books and more. However, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed, Harlequin Romances, magazines and religious materials will not be accepted.
Books may be dropped off at the library between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, July 15, through Thursday, July 18. Books will be viewed at the time of drop-off. Gently used books in fair to good condition will be appreciated.
Donations for the bake sale are also welcome. Those who wish to donate items can drop them off in the library conference room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, and from 8-9 a.m. on Friday, July 19. Label baked items and state whether or not they contain nuts.
All proceeds earned from the used book sale and bake sale will be used to support library programs and events.
