A doggone good lesson for students

Students of West Iron County learned a paws-on lesson about approaching dogs when they were visited on Feb. 10 by friends from Northwoods Animal Shelter, Paws and Claws dogs Houli and Truly, shelter manager Sarah Erickson and shelter volunteer Vicky Losey. Three classes were visited and taught: If a dog comes near, never never fear; don’t run, don’t flee, stand still as a tree; don’t scream, don’t shout and the dog won’t bite.
