DICSA to distribute ‘Farm to Family’ boxes

IRON RIVER — The Dickinson-Iron Community Services Agency is participating in the state’s program to help those 60 and over by providing fresh fruits and vegetables along with dairy products – all of which will come from Michigan farms.
    DICSA will conduct distributions of the “Farm to Family” boxes in both Dickinson and Iron counties. The boxes will be handed out every other week throughout the summer and fall. If an individual is unable to get to the distribution site, arrangements can be made to ensure home delivery of the boxes (limited availability). For delivery for home-bound seniors, call 906-774-2256 exts. 235, 230 and 244.
    The dates of distribution in the Iron River Senior Center parking lot/drive up are: Thursday June 11, Thursday, June 25, Thursday, July 9, Thursday, July 23, Thursday, Aug. 6 and Thursday, Aug. 20.
    All distributions will run from 11 a.m. to noon.
