CF Library announces schedule of events
CRYSTAL FALLS—Crystal Falls Community Library has announced its schedule of events for the remainder of September and October.
Coffee with the City Manager will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. Come to the library to meet Gerard Valesano over coffee and cookies to learn about future plans for the city of Crystal Falls.
A presentation by Lynn Buckland-Brown on talking books will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 25. This event will be held at the Crystal Falls Senior Center. Soup and salad will be served at 4:30, and the presentation will take place during the dinner at 5. All are welcome to attend. Those interested are asked to call 875-6709 by 1 p.m. on Sept. 25 to make a dinner reservation.
A fall foliage story hour will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 11 a.m. “Join us at the Paint River Boardwalk for our first-ever story walk,” said Evelyn Gathu, library director. “Children and adults will be able to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.”
An author reading and book signing event with Tyler R. Tichelaar of Marquette will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, beginning at 5 p.m. Come and meet the author famous for “The Marquette Trilogy.” Tichelaar will read from his newest novel, “When Teddy Came to Town,” which is about the 1913 Teddy Roosevelt libel trial held in Marquette.
Wanda the Wacky Witch Halloween Family Fun Magic Show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, beginning at 11 a.m.
“Bring your little ghosts and goblins for magic and fun with a visit from Wanda the Wacky Witch at the library. Kids will also get to meet Mimi her mind-reading puppet dog.”
