Car parade for residents scheduled
CRYSTAL FALLS — A car parade for friends and family members of those living at Victorian Heights Assisted Living, Skyway Rehab, and the Iron County Medical Care Facility will be held on Thursday, May 21, starting at 1:30 p.m.
The parade will start at Victorian Heights, travel through the parking lot and under the overpass, behind the building, back by the pavilion, and around through the main Iron County Medical Care Facility parking lot, and out the main entrance.
“We will have the tenants and residents outside so you can wave, honk, and enjoy their smiling faces while you drive by, said Lindsey Anderson. “We ask that you do not get out of your vehicle, but please feel free to decorate signs, adorn balloons or streamers to your car, and show your loved ones how much you miss them.”
Anderson added that the Iron County Sheriff’s Office will lead the parade.
Those interested in joining the parade are asked to RSVP Iron County Medical Care Facility by calling 875-6671 or send an email to Jessica.firstname.lastname@example.org.
“If we know you or a family member will be participating in the parade, we will do our very best to get your loved one outside so they can see you,” Anderson said.
In the case of inclement weather, the parade will be rescheduled for Friday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m.
For updates, see ICMCF on Facebook or call 875-6671.
“Although we are still offering in-house activities and doing our very best to keep our tenants and residents happy, there is no one who can bring a smile to their faces like their family and friends,” Anderson said.
“Help us to make this a special day for everyone.”
