The best times are at Bass Fest in Crystal Falls

The Crystal Falls Lions Club celebrated 100 years of international service with festivities at the 53rd annual Bass Fest, July 6-9. Boxing and bingo kicked off the event, followed the next day by the parade down Superior Avenue. The Canoe Race on the Paint River ended with Dave and Lee Graff winning the men’s division and Saima and Clifford Santi taking first place in the women’s/mixed category. The celebration continued at Runkle Lake Park with the famous Lions Club chicken dinner, volleyball games, music and softball. The festival played into Sunday with the Bass Run, games and races for kids and fun, food and fishing for families.
