Aspirus to sponsor county farmers markets
IRON RIVER—Aspirus Iron River Hospital & Clinics has announced a continued partnership with the Iron County Farmers Market for a second year.
Aspirus will sponsor all farmers markets in Iron County, which includes markets in Crystal Falls and in Iron River, and new this year - a market in Amasa. Markets start in July and will go until early September.
“As an advocate for health and wellness, Aspirus recognizes the importance of eating healthy, locally-grown food, as well as supporting Iron County farmers,” said Abby Miller.
• Markets in Iron River will be Wednesdays starting July 3 from 1-5 p.m. at the Klint Safford RV Park on Genesee Street.
• Markets in Crystal Falls will be the first, second and third Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Garden on U.S. 2.
• Markets in Amasa will be the fourth Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tall Pines Grocery.
During some of the markets, Aspirus will be participating with health screenings and healthy activities for the community.
