To the editor:
Iron County Residents,

I recently learned the Iron County Board of Commissioners agreed to increase the camping rates at Pentoga Park. In reality I should say a “select few” disgruntled board members. The increase is one thing, but it “only” applies to Iron County residents who already pay taxes for the park.

In the past residents received a little break on rates but this year rates only increased for residents to pay the same as non-residents, $1980 for seasonal and $30 per day. Along with that seasonal people now have to pay an additional $50 when registering. We are the ones providing the park guaranteed income for the summer so why are we punished.

To sum it up “THANKS” to the Iron County Board for sticking it to the Iron County residents. Give yourself a big pat on the back. You know who you are. It’s simply a principle issue that shows the board doesn’t stand with its Iron County tax paying residents.
